Finishing School is Important

How do I get out of an out-of-district school placement as fast as possible?

I am a 15 year old sophomore in high school and right now I’m shared-time between my public high school and a school for kids with behavioral or learning problems. I’ve been in this school since the 7th grade, and I feel it is not the right school for me. I began shared time (taking some classes at my high school and the rest at the special school) last year in the 2nd semester and the goal was to put me back in my high school full time this Sept. Lately I’ve been getting negative feedback from everyone saying that September isn’t a good time to put me back and just try for my senior year. Now I’m sick of this special school, my behavior has been fine and I’ve been having honor roll grades. The placement meeting is set to take place Jan. 31 ‘07, but by the feedback I’m getting from everyone, I don’t think I’ll be going back full time. Also, this special school has been making me depressed and making me think about death. What should I do if I don’t get my grant for full time next year?

At your placement meeting you can show them how good you’ve been doing and somehow prove to them that you’re doing well also prove that you don’t need to be there anymore. Show them your honor roll awards and don’t forget to be polite. Speaking of being polite, How has your attitude been while in the special class? Do you have a nice attitude? If not then that may be the reason they think you should stay. But I don’t know. It might be something else.
